The concept of exaggerated scale is evident in your image! If you wanted to push it further, I think a large tube of paint in the foreground would be effective (maybe some paint could be squirting out onto the pallet).
A playful concept, though I'm not sure I understand the gesture. There are a few lighting/shadow disconnects. I would also think about the concrete block backdrop. It seems like such a default element in the space, yet it takes up so much visual room.
I love this idea of being completely immersed in art and the process of it. I feel like it's a perfect depiction of an art student. Also the implication that your paint brush is really heavy because it's so huge implies that this is also something that takes a lot of energy which is also very true to the major and the process of making art. The only thing I would probably do is blend yourself a little better. Maybe add a drop shadow or tweak some of your highlights and shadows.
