Eloi Solis_Night Prowler

For this project I wanted to create an abstract light painting using long exposure. I combined two images to create the final result the light trails part of the image was created with a light bar, which work well because it creates an illusions of a wide brush strokes. The light rays at the edges of the piece were created using a laser pointer and the just changed the color to match the color from the other image.

Ninja Prowler

The top picture is the Main Picture, Bottom are the different movements being placed.

For my Night Prowler assignment I wanted to play with the way light moves throughout a shot.  I decided to create a almost replica of a Ninja Turtle theme and portray different fighting motions and movements throughout the shoot.

For this project I worked on drawing out a fire with using multiple layers of light drawing. Collaging them together to create a life like picture of fire. I was aiming to make the fire look as organic as possible, as well as the surrounding. Making sure light hit areas where it should, being able to see through the fire, and making the hotter area brighter and warmer than the rest. All of this was done with just glow sticks and many many attempts at drawing different areas of the flames.

For my Night Prowler project, I wanted to create a nighttime landscape that encompasses an intriguing foreground, stars, and the moon. I had trouble trying to take this image at first because of how difficult it was to get each element in focus and properly exposed. This is why I decided to separate the project into three main images that I would edit together. I took the image of the stars on a clear night, directed away from the light of the moon for the best results. I took the picture of the moon separately, then the house. I edited these all together with a combination of gradient layers, adjustment layers, and hand-drawn layers to create a cohesive image. I am pretty happy with how this turned out overall, though I wish I  had been able to get a clearer image of the moon with my camera. I also think I could have used another image of stars with a threshold adjustment to add some more bright stars into the sky background, but I'm not sure if this would have been too distracting or not.

Fire

I wanted to show a series of flames in different exposures trying to capture the essence of a flame. It was very dark outside so i tried to capture as much as i could, using blend modes and lighting of the camera.

Eloi Solis_Scale Exaggerated

For this project I wanted to make a page in a book "come alive"...ish. Not to represent exactly everything that is happening but to illustrate what I took away as the most impactful part of the page.

This page is from 100 Years of Solitude and this gentlemen goes into a big depression and becomes a drunk.

Kelli Crockett Scale Exaggerated

For this project, I had the idea to scale up a book. I am an avid reader and am always amazed by how incredibly huge the worlds inside books are, like you are exploring a cave with a new discovery around every corner. I liked the idea of someone exploring in the dark and finding a huge book because it encompasses the sense of awe, mystery, and excitement that comes along with reading.

I have some critiques for myself for this project already. I think it is way too dark and the monitor I edited on was not calibrated correctly (WAY too bright!). This isn't too difficult of a fix and most of my other critiques for myself are detail-oriented as well, like cleaning up the hair and light glow. I'm pretty happy with how this turned out overall and I'm happy that I took the time to redo my project when my first idea wasn't working out how I wanted it to.

For this composition, I wanted to showcase a fight between, a goddess and an invader.

PIXELS

My concept is based nearly off of the movie pixels.  I thought it was a cool design how they brought video games into the real world and hence that I am a gamer and streamer I thought about doing the same. I brought a video game car, tv, a walking controller, and ps5 console to life and decided to take a selfie!

Could Not post the gif file . For this project, I wanted to capture the specific culture of street fashion and street shoes. And how there is an entrie culture based around shoes and keeping them clean/ fresh. Some people take great care of his/her shoes and really tries to keep them looking brand new. I wanted to exaggerate that meaning by almost making a shoe car wash for a pair of sneakers. I also played with this idea by adding a my car in the background, something else that I and lots of others like to keep clean and take care of weekly. It's a way of presenting yourself to others and showing off your style.

For my project, I presented my giant cat sitting in a very human like pose on the computer. I enjoyed making this project because it gave me an opportunity to present my cat in this very humorous position while sitting on the computer with some snacks, such as temptations treats and canned cat food.
