  1. You seem to be looking up at the figure pictured in the center. I think it really helps that the head is slightly tilted so he isn't staring down the camera, it makes him a little friendlier. You then have flowers coming out of these broken parts in his face, and smoke behind his head. You also blurred out his eyes which is very intriguing.

I may be reading way to into this but heres what I'm getting from this. With the cracks in his face, the flowers, and the blurred out eyes it reminds me of some sort of tombstone/statue which makes me think that this could be a tribute to someone who passed away. There is also the slight halo like glow on him along with the point of view that makes me think this could be a tribute piece. The smoke gives it a cool texture but also makes me think about how vaping is kind of a big problem today so maybe thats what this person had/has a problem with(?) I'm probably way off with this interpretation but thats what I see.

Overall I think the end product is stunning and visually intriguing. I'm curious to see what adding a pop of color in the flowers would do. It also makes me wonder who this person is to you, maybe a brother, best friend, or BF(?) going along with my interpretation you may be worried about this person.

  2. First when looking at the composition of the photo instead of the portrait being just a straight face looking forward, his head is tilted slightly. when the gif continues the color of the portrait changes into a gray color and i believe his face is cracking and flowers are blooming out of them and smoke coming out from behind. The lighting is more heavily focused on the left side as opposed to the right side.

When interpreting this picture i almost get a sense of the person is overloaded and its causing something to "burst" out of them. when looking behind the portrait i see what i believe could be smoke which could also represent a sense of burnout.

Overall i think you really did good with the overall photoshop skills from the blending and creating realistic cracks in the face. I think this portrait could have many different meanings or be interpreted in different ways.
