  1. This image is no doubt eye catching. I appreciate the vivid color scheme that you decided to use. Very bold and appropriate for a carnival! I do feel that because there is so much going on that every element is fighting for attention. A cool option if you have time/if this fair is still up would be to go and photograph it again with a long exposure to play more with the lights, since you have so many in this photo.

  2. This image has beautiful qualities. The sense of movement throughout the frame is striking, and the vibrant colors help that aspect as well. This photograph feels documentary, but with an exciting twist. However, I wonder if a few of the light flares (for example, by the ferris wheel) could be minimized to create a crisper image. Doing so could help the focus be more easily understood.

  3. I really like the picture and the lights but I just feel it is a bit too busy especially that there is a lot of movement going on.

  4. Amazing photograph, so filled with lights and activity that definitely keep my eye moving around the composition. I appreciate how you overlayed even more color/lights onto the bottom half of the image. My eye continues to draw back to the left of the photograph where the whirlwind blur of action occurs. These blurred moments are the strongest, as they do a good job of making me feel as though I am within this carnival experience myself. I would like to see how the photo could be enhanced by changing angles, what if you could go back and capture an up-close action of one particular ride? It would be interesting to see. Great job overall!

  5. I love how you've captured the energy in this scene thanks to the vibrant colours and clear use of long exposure. The blurring of the rides in motion almost makes the viewer feel dizzy, so it's really effective given the subject matter.

  6. Good idea for a night subject. The motion and color provide a dynamic sense of excitement. The moon overhead adds a nice sense of ambience combined with the haze. It would be intersting to see a longer expose using a tripod for more light trails - maybe even combining this work with a blending mode of the another sharper image.

  7. The image has this ascetic you might get in a noir film if you shot it in color. maybe its because of the overlays of lights on the ground which read as reflections as if the ground were wet. coupling with the moon in the sky. there is almost a sinister intention underlying the work. this makes me wonder what the fair looks like in the day time when it is lacking the lights and color to give it a dolled up appearance.

  8. This image is one of my favorite. Has so much movement and life to it. You captured the light so well on the bottom that it almost looks like a water reflection on the floor. This image doesn't make you stay at one location but makes your eye search for different colors and lights.

  9. I love how busy your piece is I want to look at every detail of it, the way my eye moves around the composition its like being at a fair you can't stop looking everywhere because of the colors.

  10. YES. All I can say is yes. The image is lively which fits the energy of the scene perfectly. The only critique I would have is maybe fixing some of the noise and making the image a little clearer overall, but I love your composition.
