  1. There's this sky as the background
the saturation is high in the left part of the canvas, and the right part is in grey scale. There's a man standing right in the middle of composition, with glasses, looking up. He is in a red shirt with a necklace. Clouds are sticking out from his head in a symmetry shape.

For me it looks like the the clouds represent the person's state of mind. The person has nearly no emotion but lots of things are going in his mind.
Two parts of the mind is conflicting however it seems connected to the cloud on the right side.

I wish the person had more clear borderlines and resolusion. but the idea of putting clouds like a hat is interesting!

  2. The focal point of this picture is of the man staring up towards the viewer. The red shirt contrasts against the blue/black background of the sky. The background is semi-abstract due to the color change compared to the left and right side. There seems to be an explosion coming from the top of his head. His stance is stiff and his emotions are neutral but also looks kind of lost, bored, or confused. There is no significant source of lighting except from the right side of the man that contradicts with the explosion coming out of the head. Everything appears to be free floating with no sense of ground.

From from glance, I think this represents having your head in the cloud. This can be seen in how the artist composed the scene in a very abstract perspective with no sense of ground. But it is also contradictory in a way because of how the clouds read as forcefully coming. It could also be interpreted as anxiety or having too much on the mind that concludes to blanking out.

I don't think there is clear enough hints to help the viewers interpret the image. I think if you were to add more elements or direct the man in a clearer direction, it could help the audience understand your message better. I do think the composition is very interesting and the contrast between the background and the angle shot of the man.

  3. The main figure of this image is a male. He is placed in the center of the lower frame of the composition. The background of the image is the sky with a few clouds with the right half being changed to grayscale. The light is emphasized in the lower right of the figure. He has a blank expression while gazing up at the viewer. The clouds appearing out of his head look like they are moving upward, away from him.

I interpret that this piece is about a man with his "head in the clouds." That is to say, his mind is not present in reality but rather in the imagination realm. He may be wondering about something or dreaming about a place or position he aspires to be in. The background in two different colors could depict the state his imagination may be in, whether it be in a colorful happy place or in a meek, gray, dull place. Despite this seemingly conflicting notion he seems to be contempt with both options.

After evaluating, I presume that this piece is supposed to depict a young man who has his "head in the clouds." They may have chose the sky as the background to depict this idea that the sky is the limit. The sky is far beyond our reach and may represent the endless opportunities and aspirations we have for our future successful selves. He may have his arms down because he is not yet ready to reach for these aspirations but just wants to imagine them from afar for now. Maybe a few more hints and clues from the artist of what this composition is about so the viewer can get a better understanding. Aside from that, excellent work!
