Scale Project- Brittany Little

For this project I initially thought to myself, "What would I like to see hung on my wall?". So those thoughts led to my cat, naturally.  As I was working on making an oversized version of my cat, I realized that making him a giant just wasn't going to be enough.  So the finished product is what you see here, a giant pegacaticorn.

  1. While this piece isn't conceptually heavy, I still got positive feedback on just having a whimsical fairytale setting in which my cat (as I view him in real life) was a majestic magical being. Technical feedback was good overall, but I had some people telling me the shadows need more work, so I will work on that before printing. One of the choices I made for this piece was to have an overall pastel color scheme, my peers said that this worked for the overall image and helped tie it together. So the two things I will work on before final print are the shadows, trying to get the cat to feel grounded, and I also have some black "sparkles" that got thrown in there that I will take out before the finished product.
