Marco's Scale Play Project

I'm not sure where the hot spot came from? It wasn't in the capture lcd, or the viewfinder, but showed up in the final photo? IDK. I kind of liked it, so I kept it (plus not scheduling enough time to fix it . . .) but I'm sure people will find problem with it. So any recommendation for how to avoid that effect when photographing screens would be appreciated.

  1. The hot spot might be from exporting to a JPEG file, instead of doing file: save as, choose export for web (legacy) and export it as a jpeg, the file will be much more compressed with more resolution and quality. The light on the keyboard seems a bit dark, as it should reflect the light from the moniters behind, and it is currently not. This will also help with the feeling of the foreground objects being too dark. The overall concept is interesting, but there is some weird stretching of the perspective of the keyboard, making it appear more out of place.

  2. I wish the keyboard was lighter in color, I am not sure I can see what's going on clearly.

  3. I really like the concept of this, and I think it's effective that you've not just scaled one figure. I think it's good that you've also thought about the shadows of your figures.

  4. The hot spot is an issue. More importantly, the image is so busy and lacks a focal point. It could be okay to have three versions of yourself, but so many screens plus the foreground equals a visual overload. Maybe you could use the keyboard in a newer, more simplified concept?

  5. Wow, that hotspot, what were you thinking dude.

Switch to one screen in the background. drop it's focus way down to mimic the shallow depth of field you've established with the foreground, and crop the image so they keyboard and figures take up more that a third of the whole photo.

Knock back the black on the keyboard to better see the figures, or better yet, don't take photo's wearing black for figures you knew were going against a black background.

The scale is believable but what is even the message here?

If it's that you're torn between all your projects there's three of you here, that seems like it would be a bonus to productivity. ? ? ?

Just, lots of questionable decision making in the execution of this all around my dude.

    You're better than this.

    Let's go.
