Project 2 Architectural Blend

For this project, I drew a lot of inspiration from the form and structure of the Cinderella Castle in Disney World.
I sought structures that reminded me of the famous castle and ended up using 4 churches and the Mcoll Center for Art. My main goal was to create something tall as well as something that could belong in a eerie dream or fantasy.

  1. Not only do I appreciate your concept, I also think that it is executed excellently. While having this idea of a "fantasy world" you still managed to keep proportions, and angles pretty much perfect (with the exception of the two small towers). I also admire how many buildings you incorporated in this structure, you pretty much built an entire building in photoshop, total dedication. One thing that I think would be cool to see is a little bit of sky manipulation to add to the idea of fantasy, like some dark clouds. Other than that, perfect!

  2. this is the "bomb.com!" - great execution and from what the concept was described to be, a good interpretation was made and fully developed. The color tone created works really well with the theme and fits over all as a workable color scheme. I think the way the structures perspective also works well with the background as whole. I honestly can not find a suggestions because it all works so well, maybe some minor tuning but overall awesome.

  3. So Sayma did an amazing job with this, it shows that he put a lot of thought and work into it and it looks pretty cohesive. Like I said in the critique, he had a set of inspiration photos and he took them and ran with them. He achieved a work that is convincing and has a mood that I feel affected the viewers in class today. Good job, Sayma!

  4. I really enjoy all the different buildings you decided to use in this image. Like we talked about in class the two towers that are pointing outward are a little distracting and in the middle section the brown building with the one window seem to be pointing outward as well just a little. Overall this was a great blend of architecture! I love the overall color of the photo.

  5. Everything about this is so well done. It's clear how much thought you put into it because of how well the buildings and the perspectives work together. You really went beyond the requirements here, with your use of 6 buildings, and that's really admirable. I think the background could be a little more lively to go with the "castle" more, but again, great job.

  6. Just fantastic! I already commented on another student's work, because I think it's pretty unanimous that this was incredible! Excellent job and way to push some boundaries
