For this project I wanted to create a small collection of portraits inspired by circus freak show advertisements. I researched many of the posters used by circuses and then attempted to replicate the "freaky" aspects of the individuals in three siblings from the same family.
i'm really in love with this. I love how subtle everything is, & it looks so real. The way they kinda glance off really helps. I'm a huge fan of AHS and I can't help but think about that when I see this. One thing that I might change though would be the composition of the conjoined twins. The background doesn't really go with the other two pictures but other than that I think this piece is amazing.

ReplyDeleteSolid idea and looks great in black and white. I think the repeated backdrop fits very well and i have no issue with it being repeated but maybe add or change with props to fit each character if you wanted to take this any further. The bearded(sp?) lady is the most realistic and really enjoy the concept of the two conjoined boys. I would probably composite their shoulders a little differently to avoid any confusion but the sharing of the leg is really realistic! awesome job and this concept should be continued.
