For my project I wanted to retouch myself. I was playing with the idea of tattoos, it's not a very realistic tattoo to get but I didn't really want the final image to be realistic.
Tattoos are great because they lie among the realm of portraits in terms of identity; since most people get tattoos to express who they are. That being said you could have pushed the meaning behind the tattoo concept and really developed it further. If you wouldn't have mentioned the phoenix in class, I wouldn't have gotten that from the image alone. Your photoshop skills seemed nice though, in terms of retouching. Increasing the color of your hair and lips were nice touches.
