Retouching- Andre Powell

I decided for this project to do the "ideal perfect women" body that the media displays as natural. This was for me learning how to love yourself, and love what you were given. I myself had a hard time finding a model because of the concept that I was doing to them, when in reality everyone's perfect just the way they are.

  1. While I think your edits on this image are well done, and realistic, I just want to see a better background and some better lighting conditions. In this class I think it's important to remember it's still a photography class and not just a photoshop class. Better background, lighting and composition will help create a better finished product.

  2. This photo has a great concept, but I think that it might could be pushed a little bit more with the background and maybe the composition. You did a great job editing, but I think that the overall photograph could be improved by perhaps setting her in a more clean looking environment- it's funny because Jeff said the floor was dirty, even though there is nothing to indicate that it is dirty- but I think that because of the context that we are seeing it in, the viewers may see it as a motel/hotel or dormitory floor, and those aren't usually known for cleanliness, in contrast to sterile white hospital floors.

  3. As the comment above states, I would really like to see a conceptual and artistic push for this project and not just a fulfillment. The photoshop skills are there for the most part but the imagery doesn't feel like it has reached the final goal yet.

  4. The concept of this is well thought out but I think you could have pushed in a little more with a plain background and better lighting. The retouching of the woman was well done besides her shoulders being a little bit to large for her waist. Other than that good job.
