I realize that I needed to spend more time working on this project than I did. I initially wanted to create a series of these 'cookie-cutter' houses juxtaposed with the more lived-in houses. Conceptually, the work would be an impactful comment on gentrification and the daunting nature of the expansion of affluent houses/neighborhoods that are infringing onto the land of older, smaller houses that are rooted and passed from generation to generation. I would definitely work to clean up the blending inconsistencies to further integrate both houses. I would also pay more attention to the small details such as shadows and the 3-dimensionality of areas/gutters that jut out and away from the house. While shooting, I would also try to incorporate people to add more personality to either home.
